We had the best time!

Thank you to Sophia and Kadeem, Portico 1 is truly heaven on earth. This was exactly the vacation we needed and we can't wait to come back again soon. Barbados is a stunning island, but the people truly make it one of the happiest places. Only a short plane ride away.

Radwood 2 is a luxurious yet cozy home, impeccably decorated and situated right on the beach. I adored falling asleep listening to the waves each night. Leandra and Rashida intuited our every need and handled all the business of the house with charm and ease. Rashida's cooking is dangerously good! My nearly month-long trip (!) went off without a hitch and I would return to this property. The beach in front of the house is rocky but there is a sandy access point just a minute's walk away (in front of the wonderful Il Tempio beach restaurant which became our "local"). The snorkelling right off the beach is outstanding. Huge thanks to Julien and Caroline for going way beyond expectation to find my group the perfect home in the perfect location.

Rock Ridge

We had an amazing time staying at Rock Ridge. I can easily vouch for the safety of the neighbourhood and how quiet/peaceful it is.

During our time in Barbados, we stayed in a high-end villa in the Royal Westmoreland and another beachfront villa on Mullins and we had an equally good time at Rock Ridge. The lush foliage outback makes you feel like you're in a manicured tropical jungle and totally separated from the outside world. Definitely one of the most private villas and outside areas I saw. Extremely relaxing vibe and the landscaping is very well done. Perfect view for relaxing poolside or under the shaded verandah. Which brings me to our love for the comfortable outdoor lounging space. Not all the villas have this combination of outdoor space in the shade that is opened and connected to a pool where you can get as much sun as you want. So you can still hang out and chat with people easily if they are in the pool and you are in the shade or at the dining table.

The sound system was another bonus. It was nice to be able to pair the speakers inside and outside at the same time. Sonos is great.

We didn't spend much time inside other than to cook and sleep but it is very well kept and had a homey feel. Some rentals feel like just that, a "rental". Meaning it doesn't have much personal touch. Rock Ridge had a very comfortable and welcoming feel like a home away from home.

The info binder left by the owner is also helpful to know what is in the surrounding area, for example, how to get to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores.

The walk to the beach is pleasant and easy. The only thing I'd say is that since there isn't a sidewalk I could see how some families with young kids could be apprehensive as the cars do wiz by quite fast.

All in all a great villa and a great stay.

Rock Ridge

Rock Ridge has been a lovely home away from home for a break in Beautiful Barbados. The size of the villa was perfect for our needs and the pool is a great size for swimming and fun.

Andrea has been an absolute gem during our stay, being efficient, discreet and friendly all balled into one package! A definite keeps! Thank you, this has been a wonderful much needed holiday.
